I'm Lulu
Ich bin Künstlerin, Designerin, Performerin, Tanzlehrerin. Und weil ich mich sowieso nie entscheiden kann was mich am meisten interessiert, mache ich einfach alles miteinander. Jahrelange Erfahrung in Bauchtanz & Burlesque Dance haben meinen Stil geprägt. Ich war an der Matchless Tanzschule in Zeitgenössischem Tanz und habe Tribal Fusion, Hip-Hop, Lindy Hop, Jazztanz, Ballett, Yoga und was es sonst noch alles so gibt ausprobiert.

Als Künstlerin liebe ich Kostüme und bin verrückt danach, verschiedene Charaktere zu entwickeln - dies sowohl in der Gestaltung als auch im Tanz. Ich mag die Mimik zur Person, die Kleidung zur Figur und die sexyness des humorvollen Tanzens.

I’m an artist, designer, performer and teacher. And since I can never decide what I like best anyway, I just do it all at once. Years of experience in belly dance & burlesque dance have forged my style - I Matchless School of Contemporary Dance and tried everything from tribal fusion, hip-hop, lindy hop, jazz dance, ballet and whatnot - enough to make any chameleon jealous.
As an artist, I love costumes and am crazy about developing new and diverse characters which express themselves visually both through design and dance. I wish to forge the facial expressions to match the person, the clothing to fit the figure and the sexyness to undermine the humourous dance.

Lulu Applecheek ist pure "Fairy-Tale Madness". Süss, verspielt mit Schalk im Nacken, der Punk deiner Träume. Ihre Schönheit und Verrücktheit vereinen sich in den entzückend abgefahrenen Kostümen unterstrichen mit einem unschuldig verführerischen Lächeln.
Lulu Applecheek tanzt seit jeher Bauchtanz, Jazz, Tribal Fusion, Hip-Hop bis sie zum Burlesque fand und nicht mehr aufhörte. Jedoch erst seit diesem Jahr steht sie als Newcomerin auf der Bühne und verzaubert mit ihrer Kunst Publikum und Jury.
Sie wurde zur Queen of Burlesque Stuttgart 2017 sowie im selben Jahr zum Publikumsliebling beim "Glamour bangs Madness" im Toast Hawaii Berlin gewählt.
Als visuelle Künstlerin versteht sie die Absurdität und Schönheit der darstellenden Künste zu vereinen und liebt es mit Erwartungen des Publikums zu spielen. Die Kostüme verraten ihre zauberhafte Fantasie welche immer wieder irritiert wird.
Lulu ist der Schuss Whisky den du schon immer in deinem Cranberrysaft haben wolltest, er schmeckt märchenhaft süss mit einem rauen Abgang von Verrücktheit.

Lulu Applecheek is pure fairytale madness - sweet, playful and always the joker, she’s the punk of your dreams. Her beauty and sheer lunacy band together in her outrageous costumes, appeased by her seductive smile.
After splashing about in belly dance, jazz and tribal fusion and hip-hop, Lulu Applecheek took a deep dive into burlesque and hasn’t come up for air even since. It was only this year she stepped on the stage as newcomer act and bewitched both the audience and the jury with her performance.
She was elected “Queen of Burlesque Stuttgart” in 2017 and was voted the audience’s favourite act at “Glamour Bangs Madness” at the Toast Hawaii in Berlin in the same year.
As a visual artist, she is adept at combining the absurdity and beauty of the performing arts as well as playing with the audience’s expectations. Her costumes convey a world of enchanted fantasy - that is continuously disrupted by an element of irritation.
Lulu is the shot of whisky you’ve always secretly wished for in your cranberry juice -
